Meet The Founders

Our story at Handmarks begins with the two-fold idea of creating a product that people could connect with, by a better direct sales company based on supporting the needs of its consultants.

Founders Bob, Karen, Pam, and Kim have each spent their entire professional careers in the direct sales industry. The founding principles for Handmarks were drawn from their experiences and are intentionally focused on cultivating success for its consultants. Their goal was to create a long-term positive impact by providing a business opportunity from a trustworthy and reliable company.

Handmarks offers a fresh, personal, and unique product that has not yet been seen by the direct sales industry. Not only does this give the consultants a selling advantage, but it provides real, valuable, in-person connections. The emotional connection with the product gives the jewelry a timeless and heartfelt appeal.

We have a passion for direct sales and a desire to use that to make a difference in our communities and circles of influence. Given the personal nature of Handmarks, hosting a party encourages forming and deepening relationships with friends, family, and coworkers.

We wanted a company that you could believe in, with a product that has purpose and meaning. Handmarks seeks to encourage you both professionally and personally throughout your journey with us.

After spending more than 35 years in Party Plan, from building a team in the field to holding executive corporate positions, I was so excited when the opportunity to open the doors to Handmarks came to fruition. I’m thrilled to partner with like-minded people that have the same vision to create a company around the needs of the field. It’s great to be a part of that for others.

Over the last twenty-two years I’ve been an executive for two of the largest direct sales software developers, a business consultant, a member of the Direct Selling Association and President and CEO for two party plan companies. It was natural to put those years of experience and passion for this industry together to help create Handmarks.

Pam Lavoie

Co-Founder & Director of Product Development

I’m a wife, mom, and nana and have supported my family through direct sales since 1983. Starting at Consultant level and climbing to Diamond Sales Director level, I have experienced it all. My priorities are God, family, others, and then myself. I’m ready and excited to take this amazing journey together with all of you!

Kim Reader

Co-Founder & Director of Training & Field Development

I started full-time in Direct Sales in 1976 at the age of 18. I worked my way through the ranks from Consultant to National Sales Director. I’ve also had the pleasure of working as a Field Development Leader for several start-up companies and loved every minute of it. That experience led me to Handmarks, the biggest step of my life.  Join us on this Journey?
